Built around community, curiosity, and showing up as you are.

San Diego Chess & Social is San Diego’s largest chess and board game club, with 400+ members across the county and and an average of 250 weekly attendees across four locations. All skill levels are welcome, from first-time players to experienced chess enthusiasts. The atmosphere is social, relaxed, and intentionally non-competitive.

Our club was founded by Mark Laturno, Aidan Ryan, and Julia Gale, with the intention of creating a welcoming space centered on games and connection.

In addition to chess, we supply backgammon, Connect 4, Jenga, Uno, and Yahtzee. Come make friends and play games!
