Beers by the Bay Chess & Social is a chess and games social club in Pacific Beach, San Diego, drawing 70 to 100 people each week. All skill levels are welcome, from first-time players to experienced chess enthusiasts. The atmosphere is social, relaxed, and intentionally non-competitive.

Beers by the Bay Chess & Social was founded by Mark Laturno, Aidan Ryan, and Julia Gale to create a welcoming space centered on games and connection.

In addition to chess, members often play Connect 4, Jenga, Uno, and Yahtzee, creating an easygoing environment where people can meet new people and enjoy a night out together.
